Senior Structural Steel Detailer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Structural Steel Detailer with remote work opportunity, who will lead Tekla modeling and detailing for complex projects, produce high-quality fabrication drawings, and collaborate with engineers and project managers while guiding junior detailers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Tekla modeling and detailing for complex projects, ensuring deliverables meet fabrication and erection requirements
• Develop detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings, and produce shop drawings, erection drawings, and material take-offs
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency, while managing revisions and updates throughout the project lifecycle

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Tekla Detailer (structural steel) with leadership experience
• Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures and strong knowledge of AISC codes
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and perform clash detection
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Experience with QA/QC processes and resolving design and fabrication issues
