Senior Sybase DBA

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr Sybase DBA.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimize SAP Sybase ASE environments for high performance and availability
• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch SAP Sybase ASE databases while monitoring system health
• Execute backup strategies, manage user access, and participate in on-call support rotation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of working experience with Sybase ASE (12.x to 16.0)
• Proficiency in Linux environments
• 5+ years in a tier-3 production support position
• Strong understanding of database internals and monitoring tools
