Senior System Software Engineer
Job Summary
To build out scientific computing platform workflows on Cloud, the full-time Senior System Software Engineer will design services for physics-informed scientific workflows, optimize system performance, and manage scalable I/O infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
- Design and take ownership of cloud infrastructure for scientific workflows
- Engage with operations to enhance overall system performance across various application layers
- Build and operate scalable I/O infrastructure for data processing and checkpointing
Required qualifications
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience in building and operating distributed compute platforms on cloud
- Proficiency in a compiled programming language (e.g., Go, Rust, C++)
- Strong foundational knowledge in Cloud Computing and Distributed Systems
- Hands-on debugging skills related to process management, memory, and I/O structures
