Senior Systems Administrator

Job Summary

Supporting a fully cloud-based IT environment, the remote Senior Systems Administrator will provide technical leadership and hands-on administration across Microsoft 365 GCC, Azure/Entra ID, and related cloud services, focusing on security monitoring, identity management, and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 GCC, Azure/Entra ID, and other enterprise SaaS platforms while managing identity and access controls
• Monitor and respond to security alerts, assist in implementing security controls aligned with NIST, and support compliance reporting activities
• Develop PowerShell scripts for automation, improve operational efficiency, and mentor junior IT staff in technical best practices

Required Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of experience in systems administration, particularly in cloud-first enterprise environments
• Strong experience administering Microsoft 365 and Azure/Entra ID environments
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender and endpoint management platforms like Microsoft Intune
• Solid understanding of identity and access management principles and security best practices
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively
