Senior Systems Administrator

Job Summary

Supporting IT operations in a full-time remote capacity, the Senior Systems Administrator will design, automate, test, and deploy large-scale patching and upgrade solutions while ensuring secure and compliant systems across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-wide patching and upgrade strategies across various environments
• Architect and automate patching workflows using scripting and configuration management tools
• Lead technical planning and execution of complex system upgrades and coordinate patch activities through formal management processes

Required qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust; active Public Trust or DHS suitability preferred
• 10+ years of experience in systems engineering and enterprise system administration focused on patching and upgrade management
• Proficiency in automation and scripting for patching and configuration management (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)
• Experience with change, configuration, and release management in regulated environments
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
