Job Summary
To support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the full-time remote Senior Systems Architect will develop and maintain enterprise and operational geospatial capabilities while advising on technology standards and leading architecture for complex cloud solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and communicate architecture products for geospatial capabilities, including current-state and target-state architectures
- Lead requirements analysis, system design, integration, and deployment activities to ensure alignment with DHS mission goals
- Provide technical direction and mentoring to teams, while coordinating technical dependencies with various stakeholders and cloud providers
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Geography, or a related field
- 12+ years of systems, software, or enterprise architecture experience, with specific expertise in GIS/geospatial platforms
- Demonstrated experience with Esri Portal/ArcGIS Enterprise, AWS, and relevant cloud environments
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering, integration, and DevSecOps practices
- Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, or Esri enterprise system design certification
