Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate PHA including HAZOP and LOPA for infrastructure systems and product designs
• Conduct risk assessments and advise teams on risk mitigation strategies and safeguards
• Support the establishment and maintenance of the Functional Safety Lifecycle in accordance with IEC 61511-1

Required Qualifications and Education

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience in process safety within a manufacturing or process plant environment
• Professional certifications such as PE, PMP, CSP, or CIH are strongly preferred
• Prior experience as a HAZOP & LOPA facilitator and in risk assessments is required
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations (NFPA, OSHA, RCRA, DOT, DEC) is required
