Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Experienced in large company engineering, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer will design, implement, and maintain automation and infrastructure solutions for a remote team, focusing on enhancing system reliability and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of complex automation and infrastructure solutions while mentoring other engineers
• Develop, test, and implement automation solutions for network and infrastructure environments using modern CI/CD pipelines
• Drive standards and best practices for systems infrastructure, including the creation of technical documentation and operational reports

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of five years of engineering experience with Linux/Unix systems, focusing on Red Hat and Ubuntu in a large VM environment
• At least seven years of experience in a large, geographically distributed server architecture
• Proficiency in development skills such as Powershell, Python, and JavaScript
• Hands-on experience with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management tools
