Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs Testing Services for VistA.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and implement enterprise-level systems, networks, and infrastructure solutions
• Ensure scalability, security, and performance of system designs while coordinating upgrades and deployments
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, and conduct various types of testing on systems

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline
• 5 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of experience in lieu of a degree
• U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
• Expert knowledge of VistA hardware and software, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience creating and presenting test plans and status updates
