Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of a next-generation credit card processing platform, the fully remote Senior Systems Engineer will design, optimize, and support high-volume transaction processing systems, focusing on backend operational workflows and Microsoft SQL in a 24/7 production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and support operational systems for transaction processing, reconciliation, data integrity, and reporting
• Design and maintain batch interfaces, backend services, and API integrations for operational reporting
• Lead the resolution of complex technical problems while ensuring compliance with security and data protection standards

Required qualifications

• 5-8+ years of professional software development experience in high-volume, low-latency systems
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong proficiency in Python, Go, or PHP
• Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and troubleshooting high-volume transactional systems
• Familiarity with payment industry standards and security compliance, particularly PCI DSS
