Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) to provide high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems, develop solutions for technical problems, and ensure compliance with VA standards while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day operational support and maintenance of cloud systems, including troubleshooting and resolving outages
• Document problems and communicate status updates to users and senior management while maintaining system asset inventory
• Implement continuous improvement methodologies and ensure compliance with security policies and standards

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
• Proficiency with AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3 and CloudWatch
• Strong skills in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, along with system administration experience
• Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
