Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Experienced in managing complex cloud systems, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) will perform operational support, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure compliance with security policies while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems and resolve system outages
• Document problems and communicate status updates to users and senior management
• Perform maintenance and installation of computing infrastructure, ensuring compliance with VA standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
• Proficiency in AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3 and CloudWatch
• Strong experience with Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, along with system administration tasks
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
