Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) will perform high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems, develop solutions to technical problems, and ensure compliance with security policies while managing system outages and user support.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day operational support and maintenance of cloud-based application systems
• Detect, document, and resolve system outages while communicating with users and management
• Implement continuous improvement methodologies and maintain inventory of system assets

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
• Proficiency in AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, particularly with S3, Step Functions, and CloudWatch
• Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks
