Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary

To provide high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) will manage system outages, develop solutions to technical problems, and ensure compliance with VA standards while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day operational support and maintenance of cloud systems
• Detect, document, and resolve system outages while communicating status updates to users and management
• Implement continuous improvement methodologies and maintain inventory of system assets

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
• Proficiency in AWS and/or Azure Cloud, including experience with cloud-native technologies
• Strong skills in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, along with system administration tasks
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
• U.S. Citizenship required for this position, with eligibility for a Public Trust security clearance
