Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) will perform high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems, manage system outages, and ensure compliance with security policies while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support and troubleshooting for cloud-based systems
• Document and resolve system outages, ensuring rapid recovery and communication with users
• Maintain system asset inventory and implement continuous improvement methodologies

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3 and CloudWatch
• Strong skills in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, along with system administration experience
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
