Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer will build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application while designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for processing healthcare EDI transactions
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS for EDI healthcare records
• Collaborate with back-end engineers to define API contracts and ensure reliable data delivery

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong back-end focus in Java and/or NodeJS
• Proven experience building RESTful APIs that consume and transform structured data
• Hands-on experience with Angular and integrating APIs into front-end components
• Working knowledge of cloud services (AWS/Azure) and related tools
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
