Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Acting as a trusted technical advisor, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer will support the Department of Energy by guiding national laboratories and research institutions in the architecture design, evaluation, and deployment of VAST's data platform for mission-critical workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Support business development across DOE accounts, including national labs and affiliated research institutions
• Collaborate with Federal sales teams and channel partners to promote the VAST Data platform
• Manage customer relationships from initial engagement through proof of concept and post-sale expansion

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting the sale of enterprise storage or data platforms in large IT environments
• Experience working with Federal customers, preferably in DOE or national laboratory environments
• Understanding of HPC, AI/ML, and large-scale unstructured data workloads
• Experience delivering technical architecture and product presentations
• Knowledge of virtualization, high-performance networking, and enterprise security
