Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Providing technical leadership and systems engineering expertise, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer will support the U.S. Coast Guard in executing enterprise digital transformation, systems modernization, and automation initiatives while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure alignment with operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering support for digital transformation and automation initiatives within the Coast Guard
• Analyze operational requirements and develop technical recommendations to support enterprise modernization objectives
• Support systems integration, requirements management, and architecture development activities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline with 8-10 years of experience, or 6-10 years with a Master's degree
• Experience supporting complex federal IT, systems engineering, or modernization programs
• Familiarity with systems engineering lifecycle processes and requirements management practices
• OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) Model Builder certification
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust
