Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
To support a dynamic team, the contract-to-hire Senior Systems Engineer will administer Kafka platforms both on-premises and in the cloud, develop new services and enhancements, and provide client support, all while working 100% remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Administer Kafka platforms, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
- Develop new services and enhancements to improve platform capabilities
- Coach junior team members and provide incident management and client support
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field
- 4-6+ years of experience in Kafka administration
- Strong AWS cloud engineering skills
- Experience with event-driven architecture and event streaming patterns
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools, preferably Dynatrace and Splunk
