Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting and optimizing enterprise email and messaging systems, the contract Sr. Systems Engineer - Mail & Messaging will design, develop, and maintain services while troubleshooting complex issues in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation and services for enterprise mail and messaging infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving email systems, backend services, and networking
- Drive small to medium-sized projects, focusing on process improvement and service health
Required qualifications
- Strong experience administering and troubleshooting Linux-based systems in production environments
- Proficiency in Python or another modern programming language for building and maintaining production services
- Experience with internet email technologies such as SMTP, message routing, and anti-spam controls
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and distributed systems concepts
- Demonstrated ability to independently deliver technical projects and collaborate across teams
