Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Senior Systems Engineer - Mail & Messaging will design, develop, and maintain enterprise email and messaging systems while collaborating with senior engineers to ensure reliable and scalable services.
Key responsibilities
- Design and maintain services and automation for enterprise mail and messaging infrastructure
- Write and maintain production-quality code in Python or a comparable language to enhance system reliability and efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to email systems, backend services, and networking on Linux platforms
Required qualifications
- Strong experience administering and troubleshooting Linux-based systems in production environments
- Proficiency in Python or another modern programming language with experience in production services
- Experience with internet email technologies such as SMTP, message routing, and anti-spam controls
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and distributed systems concepts
- Demonstrated ability to independently deliver technical projects and collaborate across teams
