Senior Systems Engineer
Job Summary
To ensure the uptime and performance of production servers, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer will manage system administration, automation, and troubleshooting in a remote capacity while participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain the uptime, performance, and capacity of production servers through monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysis
- Manage system configuration and infrastructure, including Linux administration, virtualization platforms, and centralized logging
- Develop and maintain system automation and CI/CD build pipelines using Python or BASH
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux administration
- BA/BS or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred
- Expertise in Linux system administration, including Debian and Red Hat
- Ability to create scripts using Python or BASH
- Significant experience with Ansible-based configuration management
