Senior Systems Engineer (Angular)

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Angular) will build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for processing healthcare EDI transactions while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS to serve EDI healthcare records
• Support an Angular-based dashboard front-end by integrating APIs and ensuring accurate data presentation
• Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews while promoting best software engineering practices within an Agile framework

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a focus on back-end technologies (Java and/or NodeJS)
• Hands-on experience with Angular and the ability to integrate APIs and contribute to front-end components
• Proven ability to build and consume RESTful APIs that handle structured data (XML, JSON)
• Experience with cloud services (AWS/Azure) and related technologies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
