Senior Systems Engineer (Angular)

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Angular) will build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for healthcare EDI transactions, while collaborating on back-end services and ensuring seamless API integration in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS for EDI healthcare records
• Support an Angular-based dashboard front-end, ensuring accurate data presentation for users
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API contracts and ensure reliable data delivery

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end technologies (Java and/or NodeJS)
• Proven experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs in healthcare or enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with Angular and the ability to integrate APIs into front-end components
• Familiarity with AWS services, including API Gateway and Lambda
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
