Senior Systems Engineer (Angular)

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Angular) will build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application while designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and integrating with internal platform APIs in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for processing healthcare EDI transactions
• Design and implement RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS to serve structured healthcare data
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable data delivery and participate in code reviews

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end technologies (Java and/or NodeJS)
• Hands-on experience with Angular and building RESTful APIs that handle structured data (XML, JSON)
• Proficiency in cloud services (AWS/Azure) and familiarity with API Gateway and Lambda
• Experience with Agile methodologies and unit/integration testing frameworks
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
