Senior Systems Engineer (Angular)

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Angular) will build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application while designing and maintaining RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS, all in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a cloud-based Web Dashboard application that processes healthcare EDI transactions
• Design and implement RESTful APIs to retrieve and serve healthcare records, ensuring reliable data delivery
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate front-end components and back-end services effectively

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end technologies (Java and/or NodeJS)
• Proven experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs in healthcare or enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with Angular and modern front-end frameworks
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud services, including API Gateway and Lambda
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
