Senior Systems Engineer (Angular)

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Angular) will build and maintain a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for processing healthcare EDI transactions, design RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for healthcare EDI transactions
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs that serve and transform structured healthcare data
• Integrate with internal APIs and EDI processing pipelines to ensure reliable data delivery

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on Java and/or NodeJS
• Proven experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs in healthcare or enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with Angular and the ability to integrate APIs into front-end components
• Experience with cloud services (AWS/Azure) and familiarity with API Gateway and Lambda
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
