Senior Systems Engineer (Angular)

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Angular) will build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for processing healthcare EDI transactions while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS to serve and transform healthcare EDI records
• Support an Angular-based dashboard front-end by integrating APIs and ensuring accurate data presentation
• Write clean, testable code and perform unit and integration testing across back-end services and API layers

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end technologies (Java and/or NodeJS)
• Proven experience building RESTful APIs and integrating with structured healthcare data
• Hands-on experience with Angular and modern front-end frameworks
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and API management
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
