Senior Systems Engineer (Angular)

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Angular) will build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for healthcare EDI transactions while collaborating on API development and ensuring data accuracy in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS to serve EDI healthcare records
• Support an Angular-based dashboard front-end by integrating APIs and maintaining components
• Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews while adhering to Agile best practices

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end technologies such as Java and/or NodeJS
• Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs in healthcare or enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with Angular and integrating APIs into front-end components
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS/Azure) and related API management tools
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
