Senior Systems Engineer (Angular)

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Angular) will build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for healthcare EDI transactions while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS to serve healthcare records
• Support an Angular-based dashboard front-end by integrating APIs and ensuring accurate data presentation
• Perform unit and integration testing, and participate in code reviews to uphold software engineering best practices

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end integration using Java and/or NodeJS
• Hands-on experience with Angular and the ability to build and integrate RESTful APIs
• Proficiency in cloud services such as AWS or Azure, including API Gateway and Lambda
• Experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with JIRA
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
