Senior Systems Engineer (Angular)

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Angular) will build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application, design and maintain RESTful APIs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for processing healthcare EDI transactions
• Design and implement RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS, ensuring reliable data delivery and integration with internal services
• Support the Angular-based front-end by consuming APIs and maintaining components for accurate data presentation

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end technologies, specifically Java and/or NodeJS
• Proven experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs, particularly in healthcare or enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with Angular and the ability to integrate APIs into front-end components
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud services, including API Gateway and Lambda
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
