Senior Systems Engineer (Angular)

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Angular) will build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application while integrating with APIs and ensuring reliable data delivery in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS for healthcare EDI transactions
• Support an Angular-based dashboard front-end by consuming APIs and ensuring accurate data presentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API contracts and perform unit and integration testing

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end integration using Java and/or NodeJS
• Proven experience building RESTful APIs that serve structured healthcare data
• Hands-on experience with Angular and modern front-end frameworks
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud services, including API Gateway and Lambda
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
