Senior Systems Engineer (AWS)

Job Summary

To support the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (AWS Data Engineer) will lead the transition to a scalable AWS data architecture, implement data storage strategies, and optimize query performance, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the evolution of the healthcare data platform from MSSQL XML to AWS data architecture
• Evaluate and implement optimal AWS data storage solutions and design reporting layers for business stakeholders
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless data integration and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
• Proven experience in architecting cloud data platform migrations in production environments
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Athena, and Redshift
• Strong SQL skills with experience in designing relational query layers over semi-structured data
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
