Senior Systems Engineer (AWS)

Job Summary

To support the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (AWS Data Engineer) will lead the transition to a scalable AWS data architecture, implementing cloud-native solutions and optimizing data storage and query performance in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the evolution of the healthcare data platform from MSSQL XML to a cloud-native AWS architecture
• Design and implement data storage and query solutions using AWS services to meet business reporting needs
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into effective data models and ensure data integrity

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
• Proven experience in architecting cloud data platform migrations in enterprise or healthcare settings
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Athena, and Redshift
• Strong SQL skills and experience with XML-heavy data stores
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
