Senior Systems Engineer (AWS)

Job Summary

Leading the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (AWS Data Engineer) will implement a scalable, cloud-native AWS data architecture and optimize data query performance while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and execute the migration of XML object store data from MSSQL to AWS, defining storage formats and optimizing query performance
• Evaluate and recommend AWS data services and build reporting layers to facilitate SQL-based reporting for business stakeholders
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using AWS-native tooling

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong AWS focus
• Proven experience in architecting cloud data platform migrations in enterprise or healthcare environments
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Athena, and Redshift
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Strong SQL skills and experience with XML-heavy data stores
