Senior Systems Engineer (AWS)

Job Summary

To support the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (AWS Data Engineer) will lead the transition to a scalable, cloud-native AWS architecture, implementing data strategies and optimizing query performance in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the evolution of the healthcare data platform by architecting and executing cloud data platform migrations
• Design and build reporting and query layers to enable business stakeholders to run SQL queries against healthcare data
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using AWS-native tools

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
• Proven experience in architecting cloud data platform migrations in production environments
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Athena, and Redshift
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to design relational query layers over semi-structured data
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
