Senior Systems Engineer (Public Trust)

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Public Trust) will build and maintain a cloud-based Web Dashboard application, develop RESTful APIs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for healthcare EDI transactions
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS for serving healthcare records
• Collaborate with back-end engineers to define API contracts and ensure reliable data delivery

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end technologies (Java and/or NodeJS)
• Proven experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs in healthcare or enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with Angular and integrating APIs into front-end components
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS/Azure) and related technologies
• U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a Public Trust security clearance
