Senior Systems Engineer (Public Trust)

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Public Trust) will build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application while designing and maintaining RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS, all in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a cloud-based Web Dashboard application that processes healthcare EDI transactions
• Design and implement RESTful APIs to retrieve and serve structured healthcare data
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable data delivery and support front-end development using Angular

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end technologies such as Java and/or NodeJS
• Proven experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs in healthcare or enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with Angular and integration of APIs into front-end components
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS/Azure) and related technologies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
