Senior Systems Engineer (Public Trust)

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Public Trust) will build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application, design and maintain RESTful APIs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and support a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for processing healthcare EDI transactions
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS to serve EDI healthcare records
• Collaborate with back-end engineers to ensure reliable data delivery and perform unit and integration testing

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end integration using Java and/or NodeJS
• Hands-on experience with Angular for front-end development and API integration
• Proven ability to build RESTful APIs that handle structured data (XML, JSON)
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services, including API Gateway and Lambda
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
