Senior Systems Engineer (Public Trust)

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (Public Trust) will build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application, design and maintain RESTful APIs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a cloud-based Web Dashboard application that processes healthcare EDI transactions
• Design and implement RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS to serve healthcare records
• Collaborate with back-end engineers to define API contracts and ensure reliable data delivery

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end integration using Java and/or NodeJS
• Hands-on experience with Angular for front-end development and API integration
• Proven ability to build and consume RESTful APIs that handle structured healthcare data
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services, including API Gateway and Lambda
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
