Senior Systems Software Engineer
Job Summary
Focused on building and maintaining large-scale production systems, the full-time Senior Systems Software Engineer will design, implement, and support operational aspects of an Observability & Telemetry collection platform, ensuring high performance and reliability in both remote and onsite environments.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and support operational aspects of the Observability & Telemetry platform with an emphasis on performance and real-time monitoring
- Engage in the entire service lifecycle from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement
- Maintain live services by monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health while implementing automation for scalability
Required qualifications:
- BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience with infrastructure automation and distributed systems design
- 5+ years of experience delivering foundational infrastructure and observability platforms
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby
- In-depth knowledge of Linux, networking, and containers
