Senior Tanium Engineer
Job Summary
To drive advanced use of the Tanium platform within a mission-driven defense agency, the remote Senior Tanium Engineer will architect, optimize, and oversee Tanium's integration across complex environments, focusing on compliance, security, and operations outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize Tanium infrastructure and modules for large, distributed environments
- Lead continuous compliance monitoring and reporting using Tanium, developing custom queries and automation
- Mentor junior team members and collaborate within Agile teams on sprint planning and backlog refinement
Required qualifications:
- At least 5 years of hands-on Tanium experience, with on-prem/cloud expertise
- Active Secret Clearance
- Certification Requirement: DoD 8570 IAT II (e.g., Security+)
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on operational excellence
- Proactive learner, staying current on Tanium and security operations best practices
