Job Summary
To support a growing practice, the part-time hourly Senior Technical Advisor - FERC will manage FERC-related tasks, provide technical expertise in environmental compliance, and mentor staff while working remotely or from the Portland office.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a technical expert in FERC-related tasks and regional permitting
- Prepare, review, and provide quality assurance/quality control for technical documents as part of permitting processes
- Provide training and oversight to develop depth and competency among staff planners and biologists
Required qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in ecology, forestry, environmental science, or a related field
- At least ten (10) years of experience in project management and environmental consulting related to natural gas pipeline projects
- Working knowledge of federal and state laws related to natural gas pipeline facility projects
- Demonstrated experience in developing environmental permit applications and documents for interstate natural gas facilities
- Experience with agencies such as FERC, DOE, and USACE, primarily in New England
