Working on a contingent basis in Alexandria, VA, the Senior Technical Editor will manage the editing and quality assurance of technical documents, ensuring clarity and adherence to standards.

Key responsibilities

• Edit and review technical documents for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure technical content is correct
• Develop and maintain style guides and templates for documentation

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in technical editing or writing
• Familiarity with style guides such as APA, Chicago, or similar
• Experience with document management systems and editing software
