Job Summary
Providing technical and operational expertise in weather radar systems, the part-time Senior Technical Professional - Weather Radar will support research, technical assessments, and operational guidance related to weather radar technologies in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise in weather radar systems, data quality, and operational meteorology
- Support technical assessments and analyses related to weather radar technologies and environmental observations
- Develop training materials, reports, and documentation on weather radar observations and applications
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, Physical Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in operational meteorology or related atmospheric programs
- Demonstrated knowledge of weather radar principles and radar data interpretation
- Experience evaluating weather radar products and their operational applications
- Experience developing technical training and customer-facing documentation
