Job Summary
Delivering advanced Tier 3 support for complex customer environments, the full-time Senior Technical Support Engineer will independently troubleshoot escalated issues, perform root-cause analysis, and mentor junior engineers while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues related to Vertica environments
- Conduct root-cause analysis to identify and address system bottlenecks
- Mentor junior engineers to enhance team effectiveness and knowledge sharing
Required qualifications
- Strong expertise in Linux distributions, including RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts
- Solid understanding of Vertica's columnar architecture and performance tuning
- Familiarity with cloud environments and object storage technologies
- Prior hands-on experience supporting or working with Vertica is strongly preferred
