Job Summary

Delivering advanced Tier 3 support for complex customer environments, the full-time Senior Technical Support Engineer will independently troubleshoot escalated issues, perform root-cause analysis, and mentor junior engineers while working remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues related to Vertica environments
  • Conduct root-cause analysis to identify and address system bottlenecks
  • Mentor junior engineers to enhance team effectiveness and knowledge sharing
Required qualifications
  • Strong expertise in Linux distributions, including RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts
  • Solid understanding of Vertica's columnar architecture and performance tuning
  • Familiarity with cloud environments and object storage technologies
  • Prior hands-on experience supporting or working with Vertica is strongly preferred
