Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Technical Writer-Editor.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft speeches, talking points, remarks, messages, internal communications, congressional testimony, and presentations for NSF leadership
• Synthesize information from internal and external sources into compelling, accurate, and accessible narratives
• Tailor messaging for varied audiences, including Congress and scientific associations

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional writing and editing experience, with at least 3 years focused on scientific and technological subjects
• Experience writing for federal agencies or research-focused organizations (preferred)
• Degree in journalism, communications, or a science-related field (preferred)
• Ability to distill complex scientific topics into clear language for diverse audiences
• Familiarity with federal communication requirements and knowledge of SEO principles
