Senior Technical Writer

Job Summary

Translating complex DOE National Laboratory reports into clear communications, the full-time remote Senior Technical Writer will develop executive summaries, write press releases, and create webinar materials to support GSA's Center for Emerging Building Technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Translate dense technical reports into polished, executive-ready findings summaries
• Review draft technical reports and collaborate with lab teams to enhance clarity
• Write press releases and articles to showcase program results to external audiences

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience
• Proven ability to translate complex building technology data into executive-level communications
• Technical knowledge of building technologies, measurement and verification (M&V) processes, and data analysis
• Strong stakeholder communication and strategic messaging skills
