Senior Technical Writer
Job Summary
Working remotely with occasional travel, the full-time Senior Technical Writer will develop and maintain documentation for informatics work across VHA, including standard operating procedures, user guides, and training materials, while collaborating with subject matter experts in a SAFe Agile environment.
Key responsibilities
- Write, edit, and maintain various technical documents and program deliverables
- Gather and analyze technical information from subject matter experts and program artifacts
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and manage documentation work as part of team commitments
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)
- Eight (8) years of professional technical writing and editing experience
- Strong experience with technical documentation and computer-based systems
- Demonstrated understanding of medical and healthcare industry terminology
- Ability to obtain and maintain the required VA background investigation
