Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer to work remotely in a full-time capacity, focusing on developing and maintaining technical documentation for avionics and aerospace systems in support of military aircraft modernization programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Author, revise, and maintain technical publications for aircraft avionics and communication system upgrades
- Develop technical manuals, installation procedures, and sustainment documentation, ensuring compliance with military standards
- Collaborate with engineering teams to document system architectures, requirements, and support documentation reviews for testing events
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Communications, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 9+ years of technical writing experience, with 5+ years in avionics, aerospace, or military aircraft programs
- Experience in developing technical publications for complex hardware and software systems
- Familiarity with aircraft modification or integration programs
- Active Secret Security Clearance required at the time of employment
